Pontchartrain Humane Society will hold July Pet Adoption Day
News from The Times-Picayune:

The Pontchartrain Humane Society (PHS) will hold its July Pet Adoption Day July 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Delta Pet Center, 1370 Corporate Square Dr, Slidell.

PHS also has many adult and senior dogs and cats that deserve their own home. They are house-trained and have great personalities. We also have a “Senior for Senior” Program for qualified human seniors.

PHS has about 83 dogs and cats in individual foster homes. We do not have a central shelter. Our residents constantly change. We have young dogs and pups who are ready to train their humans in their needs, i.e. house training. We have cats who are looking for the special shoulder or lap.

PHS has several litters of puppies (up to 6 months old): Catahoula/Redbone, Black Lab mixes: all so cute.

The following dogs and cats are good with children. We plan for these pets to be among those available for adoption, but if you are interested in a specific pet, contact us now. We can not guarantee the animal’s availability.

Titan is a Yellow Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix, about 3 years old, who can romp and stomp with the best of them. Do not mention a car ride because he will be in the driver seat!

Misty is a Black Lab mix, female, about 2 years, who is just a great lover and snuggler. She will permit you to sleep on her pillow; she’s a great kids’ dog.
